Altient Corporation and the CCRhub program partners are committed to maintaining the highest level of privacy and security of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and Protected Health Information (PHI).

Privacy Policy

Personally Identifiable Information Collection: Altient collects information from potential members. As a candidate for the CCRhub program, you may be asked to enter information such as First and Last Name, Group Name, Address, Phone, Fax, Email, Web site, Number of Physicians in Practice, Specialty, Current and Past Clinical Trial Involvement, EMR and PM System, Network Administrator Contact Info, how you heard about us, and other comments/suggestions, to better tailor our discussion to your needs. In addition, your username and password given to you when becoming a member will be entered by you into the web site so you may access your account information. When visiting the web site, we automatically collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address, what page you requested, and the time, all of which are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Altient also collects information from current members. This information may be patient files with personally identifiable information such as, but not limited to, First and Last Name, Social Security Number, Address, Telephone, Fax, Email, and Date of Birth.

Third Party Information Collection: Absolutely no third-party directly collects personally identifiable information through our Web site.

Altient Use of Collected Information: We store information from you to help us better tailor our services for you as well as qualify your location for broadband Internet access. The contact information is used to notify you of the progress of your request. Information is also used by us for internal statistical analysis, internal promotions, and our goals for the commitment of excellence. Some of the additional information collected on the sign up form is used by our business partners to direct pertinent marketing promotions to our customers, or by our clients to identify their specific market. This information is shared in aggregate form only, unless you have opted-in for specific information requests.

Patient Files are uploaded to a secure web site, or physically given to an Altient employee or agent to process. The information is de-identified, and added to the CCRhub member database. The de-identified information is then queried by Altient employees or agents for clinical research related information. Potentially eligible patients for clinical trials are identified, and shared with the participating member for possible clinical trial recruitment. Only authorized employees or Agents or Partners of Altient will have access to PII, and only accessed on an as-needed basis. When PII is electronically accessed, security measures and and strict policies and procedures are deployed.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. We do not currently use cookies on our site. Some of our business partners use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers). We do not have access to, or are not responsible for the cookies that our business partners use for their sites. We do track your usage information through your IP address, what page you requested, and the time, of which all are not linked to personally identifiable information. We use this information to ascertain statistical analyses of general preferences and areas of interest on the Web site.

We occasionally send out information on products, services, special deals, and contacts. If you choose not to receive these types of communications, we respectfully honor your wishes.

We require contact information such as office name, name, physical address, and email address to send you a newsletter. If you choose not to receive these types of communications, we respectfully honor your wishes.

On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a service-related announcement that is not promotional in nature. This is a highly important email that necessitates your attention relating to our service.

Our customer service goals drive us to communicate with you with whatever means you choose. We use the information collected to do just that.

If we are so required by law, we will comply with judicial proceeding and disclose personal information at that time. We otherwise will make every effort to preserve your privacy.

We share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers that includes what page was requested, how long a user was visiting that page and other logging information. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information, and only used for general market assessment purposes.

Altient shares program participation and Web site usage information with reputable clients for the purpose of targeting our users for specific advertising information.

There may be occasions where we must share your personal information with third parties, such as a service provider, manufacturer, or in the event of a business transition, such as a merger. Since we provide many services through our company, we must provide some information to the originators of the business to enable the transaction to be processed. These other companies to not use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes, but only to complete our business process to deliver you your services. In the even of a merger, users will be notified via email and a distinguishable notice on our Web site prior to a change in ownership or control of their personal information.

If you exit our Web site through a link to another Web site, we are not responsible for what that Web site collects from you, nor the contents of the linked site, once you exit our Web site. We periodically collect information for surveys or contests, such as contact information and general demographics. The information retrieved in the surveys are used to provide better customer service (e.g. satisfy a customer’s needs, enhance a current customer’s experience, provide opportunity for more visible roles, and enhance product development). Personally Identifiable information is not shared with third parties unless we give prior notice and choice. If we use an intermediary to conduct these surveys or contests, they may not use your personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

If you provide us with a referral, we use the contact information you have provided to notify them about our service. If they choose to not proceed with our services and express that they would like to be removed from our database, we do so at their request.

Security Policy

Security is of the highest priority at Altient. Much of our service is built around effective security because we understand how crucial it is to protect yours and your affiliates’ privacy. We have many layers of security to protect your information on and offline. When entering any personally identifiable information online, we use what is called a secure socket layer that protects your information from being exposed to anyone but Altient and authorized agents, employees, and partners. Your personally identifiable information is also stored securely. Only the security-access employees have access to the information, such as, but not limited to an IT manager (who maintains the data), an accounting staff individual (to process billing information), and a customer service representative (to assist with your account). The servers that store the information are in a secure location, only accessible by high-level security employees. In addition to the firewall, the wireless network has 128-bit encryption. Your personally identifiable information is handled the same as above in reference to storage in the office. You are given the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your information used for purposes not directly related to our site at the point where we ask for information.
